[xmonad] Disappearing windows

From time to time, windows disappear from my xmonad. The usual circumstance is that I'm working in fullscreen layout for a time, and when I try to switch layouts or switch windows, I am unable to. But the layouts or window titles I'm going for are visible in the xmobar.
