I just checked out the latest xmonad, X11-extras and XMonadContrib from darcs ( figured a fresh install was a good idea ). It's all working fine, except that when I move focus to a workspace, the tabs for that workspace lose all of their titles strings. The unfocused workspace is fine.

I'm also not seeing the difference in colour between the active and inactive tabs ...

Have I managed to grab code-in-transit, or is this a bug ?

You'll want to upgrade; both are known, and fixed in the latest darcs, bugs.

This also appears to be the latest available revision.

My apologies, I was a bit too quick to the conclusion that your definition of "Just checked out" was the problem. BTW, darcs does have a concept of unique revision identifiers - see "darcs changes --context". However, the identifiers are *much* less compact than the version ID's used by subversion et al. As for your mailing list question, it is common practice (I do it) to Cc: all the other participants of the thread; the Haskell.org mailing list software does not by default send you messages if you are CC'd, to avoid duplicates. Perhaps your email client is configured to drop the direct message in the CC case - this would prevent any messages from arriving! Stefan
