I don't mean to detract from your point, but bash does in fact have undo! It's the same as emacs', which is to say, fairly odd but almost mnemonic: ^_
Well, that'll save me some headaches next time I'm forced to use bash. Thanks! I guess I should've googled it… But XPrompt *doesn't* have undo, so I'd still love to see some sort of delimiting ^W on something else than just whitespace. Cheers, Aleks
