I've successfully set up XMonad as a Gnome window manager. Thanks for the good work that made this possible!
But you give me a finger and I want your hand :-)
Specifically, the Gnome pager shows which workspace I'm in, but clicking on the Gnome pager to switch to another workspace doesn't. Furthermore, I added a window list button to the panel, but selecting a window from the list to switch to it does nothing.
This is on a pre-0.4 darcs snapshot.
Having the EwmhDesktops extension react on user input needs some more extensive changes, as it needs to receive ClientMessage events (ignore that if you don’t understand it). I proposed a new way of including extensions that provides this cabability, but because of the other big changes to xmonad, it has not been included or decided what to do about it. You can find the code on http://darcs.nomeata.de/XMonadContrib-hook-branch/ and an adjusted Config.hs on http://darcs.nomeata.de/xmonad-hook-branch Greetings, Joachim -- Joachim "nomeata" Breitner mail: mail@joachim-breitner.de | ICQ# 74513189 | GPG-Key: 4743206C JID: joachimbreitner@amessage.de | http://www.joachim-breitner.de/ Debian Developer: nomeata@debian.org
