  I recently found that I use xpad to add sticky notes to my desktop.  I wanted   to be able to show/hide these in the same fashion as regular scratchpads.  This   patch adds a function that allows to do this while reusing most of the existing   NamedScratchpad code.

Actually, ignore this patch for now.  I just ran into a situation this patch did not handle gracefully, when windows were on different workspaces, including the current one.  I'll send a new patch soon.

I have marked it obsolete on darcswatch (http://darcswatch.nomeata.de/repo_http:__code.haskell.org_XMonadContrib.html). How is progress on the new one? -- gwern http://www.gwern.net
