I'd like to offer a tiny tip for addition to the Gnome page, if you should find it useful. (Attached.) Beware: It's not a darcs-managed patch, because I haven't yet learned how to create one against the website sources.

Oops, I intended to address disabling Nautilus' desktop, and that's where I was originally leading with the tip on changing the background. Anyhow, good tip! If you can, please submit this as a darcs patch, otherwise I offer to submit one on your behalf. -- Alex Tarkovsky
