Issue 65 in xmonad: mplayer window fails to be drawn

Issue 65: mplayer window fails to be drawn http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=65 New issue report by ni...@gmx.net: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. fire up xterm 2. type mplayer ~/somefile 3. watch...absolutely nothing What is the expected output? What do you see instead? A window of mplayer should appear, showing the video. Instead there's nothing at all, apart from a short flicker of the screen. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? xmonad 0.4 on Linux 2.6.23 Please provide any additional information below. Doesn't work on an empty workspace as well. If this error is due to a module from XMonadContrib, please tag this issue with 'Component-Contrib' below. Works for me. I can't duplicate this bug with a recent darcs pull. mplayer, gmplayer, fullscreen all work fine. Debian testing, kernel 2.6.22-2-686

(btw, it's kinda useless to respond to messages from the bug tracker on the list...) Someone else has mentioned something similar but weirder on #xmonad: it disappeared one time out of three when he toggled it into and out of fullscreen mode. -- brandon s. allbery [solaris, freebsd, perl, pugs, haskell] allbery@kf8nh.com system administrator [openafs, heimdal, too many hats] allbery@ece.cmu.edu electrical and computer engineering, carnegie mellon university KF8NH
