Hi, When experimenting with new layouts, I inadvertently deleted some workspaces, I'm not exactly sure how. All the windows that were on those workspaces have disappeared: they do not appear on any workspace. And yet xwininfo -tree -root reports that they still exist. Any ideas how to retrieve them?

Hi Jacek, If you restart xmonad without saving state "restart-wm-no-resume" from http://xmonad.org/xmonad-docs/xmonad-contrib/XMonad-Actions-Commands.html, xmonad should be able to find those windows. But note that everything will be on a single workspace then. Regards, Adam

Thanks for the suggestion, Adam. I tried it, but it didn't produce the desired result. Yes, it put everything on a single workspace. No, it didn't find the missing windows. Yes, the missing windows are still reported by xwininfo -tree -root
