Issue 159 in xmonad: dragging a floating window acts badly

Issue 159: dragging a floating window acts badly http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=159 New issue report by daniel.wagner: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Have two monitors, preferably of different sizes. 2. Open a window on the floating layer, and position it with the top-left corner somewhere in the middle of the screen. 3. Drag the window (via mod+mouse) to another screen, positioning the top-left corner of the window at the top-left of the screen. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The result: the window does not move to the other screen, but it does move to the top left of the current screen, and if the screens are different sizes, the window is also resized. Expected result: Well, ideally, the window would move to the other screen, in the position I dropped it at. However, I can understand a decision to keep it on the screen it started on. In that case, a failed drag should revert to the old position and size. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? darcs head (shortly after 0.6 release) Please provide any additional information below. This is probably related to the patch, "Change floats to always use the current screen" If this error is due to a module from XMonadContrib, please tag this issue with 'Component-Contrib' below.
