vmware and Alt_ binding
Here's a newbie question I use Outlook in a vmware Windows7 VM. Usually, but not always, when the VM has focus, an Alt+2 (say) keystroke is directed to the Outlook app rather than switching to workspace 2. I'd like to guarantee the workspace switch behaviour. Is there a solution to this? Regards Richard
Most virtual machines have a key which toggles between capturing all keypresses for the guest and allowing the host to capture some keypresses. (Usually, there's a visual indicator of which mode is current, too.) In VirtualBox, the right control key does this job. You should check around in your configuration dialogs or, failing that, the documentation for VMWare to find out their mechanism for this toggling. ~d Quoting Richard WAtson <rwatson@imap.cc>:
