Hi all, I was just wondering, are there any plans or ideas about how a dock could be incorporated into xmonad ? Is there a 3rd party dock that could be used ? Cheers Dave

What kind of behaviour would it have?
Primarily I'm looking for something that will grab and contain the "dock icons" that alot of programs provide (I'm thinking things like amarok, most instant messenger clients [kopete, gaim etc], most power management tools, volume controls etc etc). I'm sure it's more complex than it sounds, but there's no more behaviour I'd want from such a dock than the above.

I've also just had a friend point this link out to me, that acts as a standard for how docks and other desktop components need to behave http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/wm-spec-latest.html
