Comment #7 on issue 199 by domi...@dbruhn.de: Prompt.AppendFile crashes when file is not writable http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=199 I checked the following: sshPrompt and a non-existing or a non-readable .known_hosts appendFiled and a non-writable file both work fine, (sshPrompt doesnt appear and appendFile fails silently), so no crash at all.
