Comment #9 on issue 200 by liskni.si: xmonad spins in a tight loop changing focus back and forth http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=200 I was able to fix it by not exporting SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde (or gtk). That should be equivalent to SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen for people whose ooo detects gnome/gtk.
