Comment #1 on issue 314 by icarnales: Investigate merging SmartBorders to core http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=314 Getting LayoutModifier in to core will have its adventages. first, mirror could be a modification a tiling layout and not a rewrite. Second it will be the preferred (recomended) way to create a layout that adds some functionaluty in other predefined layout.
