mapping lambda names to code

Hello, When I compile a program that contains a lambda, the compiler assigns it a name like LAMBDA245. Is there any simple way to retrieve the body of the lambda, in an automated way, perhaps by modifying the compiler? I'm building a tracer/debugger that shows the structure of the heap, using a redex trail-like data structure, and it describes indirections in the heap well, except when lambdas are involved. In the latter case, the compiler-generated names obviously mean nothing to the user and don't help him identify which of the lambdas in the code was evaluated. Is there any easy way to map the name of the lambda to its body (as Haskell source, not bytecode) without doing a source-to-source transformation? Questions about Javascript output on #haskell

Hi, I browse the #haskell chat logs periodically, and saw several people having questions regarding the Javascript output from Yhc. Please feel free to ask me. I disabled delivery of all mailing lists to my e-mail address, so please cc golubovsky(a)gmail.com if you want me to respond faster. Unfortunately, I am almost never available for any kind of chat or IM. E-mail seems to be a better communicaiton medium. I have currently put a freeze on the ycr2js code (unless someone finds an error) while working on the programmer's documentation for the DOM framework. At risk of being Noob

Hi, so I was trying those first trivial changes to move from PackedString to String, but one of the tests failed. I wanted to look at exactly what happened, so I tried running YHC directly but I got yhc: /home/wchogg/yhc/inst/bin/lib/yhc/packages: getDirectoryContents: does not exist (No such file or directory) as an error, which I presume is because I hadn't set YHC_PACKAGE_PATH. Except that all it says on the wiki about where to point it is that there should be an example. So what exactly do I need to do? Cheers, Creighton
