Fix the Paths_$pkg and sdist problem

Hello, Cabal 1.4 currently does not support creation of sdist if a Paths_ module is present in library modules. I just sent a patch bundle against 1.4 for fixing this. I attempted to fix this only for a non configured package. I attach the patch to this message again. Cheers, JP.

For the Mac OS X Cocoa port, it has an icon which is a PDF file containing a rendered version of the Yi SVG logo, and which gets installed with it. Installing the PDF only makes sense if you are on a Mac (indeed, the PDF seems to be corrupt if you try to view it with, say, Xpdf). Right now, the yi.cabal file just reads: cabal-Version: == 1.2.3.0 tested-with: GHC==6.8.2 build-type: Custom data-files: art/yi+lambda-fat.pdf -- FIXME: Install Cocoa icon only when Cocoa configured That is, the PDF is always installed. Now, my first attempt was to read the Cabal manual and realize that the obvious solution was to just stick the data-files: field under a flag or conditional - just like the yi.cabal already does for build-depends, ghc-options, buildable, etc. But this doesn't work! This could be a `mailto:` url or an online `http:` bug tracker. We should actually parse the field as a url and make sure it's one of the two. This might be a requirement for packages in the Haskell Platform. The hackage web page would have the link and direct users with bug reports. This makes rebuilds (eg,with different options, or for another compiler version) or reinstalls (eg, with added or modified haddocks) somewhat chancey. Unless you keep your sources in a safe place, and remember where that was, you have to start by getting the sources again. (I assume that `cabal-install` has a cache of package source tarballs somewhere, but that doesn't account for modified-before-build-and-install package sources, right?) This is also an issue for source code analysis tools, if binary versions of imported packages aren't sufficient for processing the importing source. Haddock currently works around that by (a) being integrated with cabal and (b) generating its own interface files for installed packages (`*.haddock`); but we cannot expect all tools to be integrated with cabal. If tools and users could get programatic access to the sources that were used to install a package, they could refer to those for further processing. It is slightly ridiculous that the sources may be available in html-ized form (if haddock was used with appropriate options) but not in source form. Carriage returns in a .cabal file

The stb-image package on hackage has carriage returns (^M) at the end of some lines. This confused hlibrary.mk from the Debian haskell-devscripts. Are these characters legal in a .cabal file? I haven't found any mention of valid line terminators. If not, then I'll work with the author of stb-image, otherwise I'll fix the Debian tool.
