[Hackage] #687: Tell haddock about hidden modules
by Hackage 11 May '10

#687: Tell haddock about hidden modules ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: guest | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Cabal library | Version: 1.6.0.3 Severity: normal | Keywords: Difficulty: unknown | Ghcversion: Platform: | ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- It would be nice, if Cabal could call Haddock with a list of --hide options according to the Other-Modules list. Currently we have to add {{{{-# OPTIONS_HADDOCK hide #-}}}} to every private module, which is redundant. -- Ticket URL: <http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/687> Hackage <http://haskell.org/cabal/> Hackage: Cabal and related projects

Re: [Hackage] #199: when installing a new version of GHC, there should be a way to upgrade my packages

#199: when installing a new version of GHC, there should be a way to upgrade my packages ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Reporter: guest | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: closed Priority: normal | Milestone: cabal-install-0.8 Component: cabal-install tool | Version: 1.2.3.0 Severity: normal | Resolution: fixed Keywords: | Difficulty: easy (<4 hours) Ghcversion: 6.8.2 | Platform: Linux ---------------------------------+------------------------------------------ Changes (by duncan): * status: new => closed * resolution: => fixed Comment: Patch applied along with a couple patches to move the code around and a slight change in behaviour. This will need user testing and feedback to see if the behaviour works OK in practice and if people find it useful. I'm not totally convinced about the file format yet, though it'll do for now. I suspect we'll need to add more config items than version and flags. Perhaps we need to use a format more like the config file and allow additional fields for each package (e.g. lib dirs etc etc). -- Ticket URL: <http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/199#comment:11> Hackage <http://haskell.org/cabal/> Hackage: Cabal and related projects

patch applied (cabal-install): Update world file entries ignoring version constraints
by Duncan Coutts 10 May '10

10 May '10

Sun May 9 20:24:57 PDT 2010 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * Update world file entries ignoring version constraints Otherwise it is easy to add impossible constraints to the world file. cabal install 'foo > 1' && cabal install 'foo < 1' Would give us a world file with both constraints.
