patch applied (cabal): Rename interfacedir to haddockdir
by Duncan Coutts 15 Dec '07

15 Dec '07

Fri Dec 7 06:28:24 PST 2007 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * Rename interfacedir to haddockdir Since it really only refers to haddock interfaces, so interface is too general a term. Cannot push to 1.2 branch as it changes the api. patch applied (cabal): Add mandir support to InstallDirs
by Duncan Coutts 15 Dec '07

15 Dec '07

Fri Dec 7 06:18:39 PST 2007 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * Add mandir support to InstallDirs It's not used by Cabal at all but some packages want to install man pages and this should make it easier for them to figure out where to install them. In particular c2hs and lhs2tex have man pages. M ./Distribution/Simple/InstallDirs.hs +7

patch applied (cabal): Fix hscolour code so it only outputs the css once per-lib or exe

Fri Dec 7 05:03:09 PST 2007 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * Fix hscolour code so it only outputs the css once per-lib or exe Rather than for every module in the lib. Tidy the code up a little too. M ./Distribution/Simple/Haddock.hs -10 +11

patch applied (cabal): First go at supporting ghc-6.9's ghc-pkg list --simple-output
by Duncan Coutts 15 Dec '07

15 Dec '07

Fri Dec 7 04:31:07 PST 2007 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * First go at supporting ghc-6.9's ghc-pkg list --simple-output We used to have to parse the human readable output from ghc-pkg list because previously it was not possible to specify which package dbs to query. Now the behaviour is that you specify exactly which dbs you want and you only get those packages listed. For example ghc-pkg list --global lists only packages from the global db. So we now use: ghc-pkg list --simple-output --global ghc-pkg list --simple-output --global --user M ./Distribution/Simple/GHC.hs -14 +29

Re: patch applied (packages/array): FIX BUILD: build-depends should be inside library { ... }
by Malcolm Wallace 14 Dec '07

> * FIX BUILD: build-depends should be inside library { ... } Apologies for breaking the ghc build on this. But is there a good rationale for this restriction? It seems obvious to me that, in a cabal file with a library{} and possibly many executable{} stanzas, one may wish to common-up some of those fields that appear frequently, rather than duplicate them in each stanza. Regards, Malcolm
