patch applied (cabal): Only create includes and bin dirs if necessary
by Duncan Coutts 24 Aug '07

24 Aug '07

Fri Aug 24 08:27:49 PDT 2007 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * Only create includes and bin dirs if necessary For includes, don't list the include dir in the package registration info unless we're actually going to install some include files. So we should create fewer pointless empty directories. See bug #97. M ./Distribution/Simple/Install.hs -8 +10 M ./Distribution/Simple/Register.hs -1 +3

patch applied (cabal): Look for install-includes in . first, then in include-dirs
by Duncan Coutts 24 Aug '07

24 Aug '07

Fri Aug 24 08:26:32 PDT 2007 Duncan Coutts <duncan(a)haskell.org> * Look for install-includes in . first, then in include-dirs Since .h files listed in install-includes need not be in the include-dirs search path at all. M ./Distribution/Simple/Install.hs -1 +1

#118: Cabal eats leading '.'s from .cabal file -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Reporter: igloo(a)earth.li | Owner: ijones Type: defect | Status: new Priority: high | Milestone: Component: Cabal | Version: 1.1.6 Severity: normal | Resolution: Keywords: | Ghcversion: 6.6 Difficulty: normal | Platform: Linux -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Changes (by duncan): * priority: normal => high Comment: Yes, this is bad. It just bit me too in HEAD. I was using: Library { include-dirs: . } and that gets striped to nothing, which means we pass "-I" to ghc with no following path (which makes ghc complain). -- Ticket URL: <http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/118> Hackage <http://example.com/> My example project
