There is an algorithm known as Myer's algorithm, but obviously I want it in Haskell rather than C, and it would be nice if someone else had written it so I don't have to.
why dont you call from haskell the C version ? or why dont you call the shell program diff ?
Because (a) I don't have a C version; (b) diff expects Strings, not arbitrary Haskell values . . .
