By the way, since Positive is a type synonym, the  
StrictlyMonotonicFunction instance should perhaps be:

instance Arbitrary StrictlyMonotonicFunction where
   arbitrary = StrictlyMonotonic `fmap` arbMonotonicFunction (\ 
(NonZero (NonNegative x)) -> x)

instead of:

instance Arbitrary StrictlyMonotonicFunction where
   arbitrary = StrictlyMonotonic `fmap` arbMonotonicFunction (\ 
(Positive x) -> x)
