If we have two editors (let's say), we can set up a redundantly highly available roster: * usually they take turns to release issues * but they have a way to arrange "I'm unavailable this weekend, please do this weekend for me, in exchange of..." * if one resigns, we still have the other to keep going for a few weeks, during which we have time to find one more editor and restore the redundancy.
