Hi, A picture of my quadgame is atached. I need a kind of hitdetection for knowing where the player want's to set the next stone. I copied for testing the code of Sven but it doesn't work in the right way... As shown in the PickDepth or PickSquare example I added some hitrecord names to each grey square on the picture. When you click on the window, the same code like in the examples is executed. Except of the ortho2D call after the pickMatrix... I do not exactly know, what I have to fill there.. I tried it in the following way: justifyCamera :: GamePackage -> IO () justifyCamera gp = do let C {cp = camPers, cla=camLook} = gpGetCam gp (a,r,n,f) = camPers (e,c,u) = camLook -- matrixMode $= Projection -- loadIdentity GLU.perspective a r n f -- matrixMode $= Modelview 0 -- loadIdentity GLU.lookAt e c u I just commented out the change of the matrixMode. But that isn't right.. I have hits anywhere in the space but not on the planes :( Any good ideas? Or is there a good tutorial except of the gluSpec? Projection and Modelview Matrices

Hello to all I want to do View Frustum Culling using Octrees, and everything is working except for one small detail: I cannot find a way to access the Projection Matrix, nor the Modelview matrix, which are taken for granted in the C/C++ versions of the library. Am I missing something? I can of course calculate the clipping planes using lookat information and the arguments to the frustum function, but cannot believe there isn't a more elegant solution... ;-) Thanks in advance, Guilherme Lopes.

Texturing with ghc-OpenGL API

OOps, I replied to an existing mail by mistake and so my message appeared as an "submessage". Ok, I looked again over my first mail and found it to short und undetailed. So here a new try.. for clearance: HOGL = The separate package, not that library that comes with ghc source ghcOGL = The library you get when you compile ghc and give --with-opengl option. I'm unable to translate any texture sample from the HOGL api to the ghcOGL api. I don't find needed functions. In the source there is a hint that the Texturing.hs corresponds to the section 3.8 of the OGL Specs. Where are all the functions like genTextures, bindTexture, texImage1D, texImage2D, and so on... that are specified in this section? In the HOGL is everything fine, but in the ghcOGL lacks of these functions without any hint where to find them. Any little advice is welcome and will help me. Cheers Patrick

Linker problem compiling HOpenGL code

I am trying to compile a simple example programme with ghc-6.2.2. The programme compiles OK and I'm left with object code, but the linker fails. GHC was compiled from source, and the linker works with other compilers. The full output of ghc -v is attached. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Thanks in advance, MP
