yesod: problem with static directory listing

Dear Yesoder's I am having a slight problem with the static file serving part of yesod. If I used the following routes -- Site.hs data Site = Site { getStatic :: Static } mkYesodData "Site" [$parseRoutes| /test RootR GET /test/static StaticR Static getStatic |] and use the following static configurations -- Controller.hs withTest :: (Application -> IO a) -> IO a withTest f = toWaiApp site >>= f where site = Site {getStatic = static "static"} I get the following problem (1) Files are properly served from the static directory However (2) If I access the url http://localhost:3000/test/static The directory listing shows root with url http://localhost:3000/test index.html with url http://localhost:3000/test/index.html You can get the complete code by $ darcs get http://www.cse.iitk.ac.in/users/ppk/yesod/static Any help is appreciated. For a week, in my free time, I want to evaluate Yesod. My plan is to rebuild in Yesod an application I have created with PHP. The application requires user authentication, access privileges for each user, forms and views for the data. Some forms should have repeated elements such as Persons Name1 Surname1 Age1 Name2 Surname2 Age2 ...... Namen Surnamen Agen My understanding is that Yesod can not handle this use case yet. If this is true I intend to include a hidden filed which will contain the values of the repeated elements in json format. Also, the respective form elements will have no name to prevent the browser from submitting their value. Before that, I need to to have a table which will list entries from a db table. The table should support pagination and filters. The filters will be in a form like: Filters: Name [An* ] Age between [12 ] [100] The values displayed in the table should be limited based on the values provided in the filters fields. I found a project in hackage, yesod-tableview. It doesn't compile. The error message I get is Yesod/TableView/NumEntriesForm.hs:28:19: Couldn't match expected type `text-0.11.0.8:Data.Text.Internal.Text' against inferred type `[Char]' Expected type: [(Int, text-0.11.0.8:Data.Text.Internal.Text)] Inferred type: [(Int, String)] In the first argument of `selectField', namely `numbers' In the expression: selectField numbers (fromString prompt) mdata I fixed the problem by removing the form which I don't needed anyway. I intend to do more modifications on the package. Namely, I'd like to make the package configurable on it's templates in order to produce json instead of html. This would permit integrating the functionality provided by the package with javascript grid components such as http://trirand.com/blog/jqgrid/jqgrid.html In order to develop the project I will have to deal with authentication, authorization, forms, persistent and widgets. I hope I will not wear your patience with my questions. Freely accessible examples that achieve parts of the intended functionality of the test application, would be very useful. How to use Yesod oAuth?

Hello, I'm trying to use Yesod oAuth plugin to a SNS site which is very similar to Twitter. I add oAuth into the authPlugin and I'm able to see the auth URL at login page. I click the URL and it forwards me to a page ask me input that SNS site account. I fill in my account then the browser navigate to the authorize page display a authorised code (8 digits). Then, how I suppose to continue? (I think this is the 2nd phase of the oauth process) I expect there will be a text box in my App where I can fill in the authorised code. Or even the oAuth plugin automatically get the authorised code and continue to the next oauth phase. Regarding the isAuthorized function discussed at http://www.haskell.org/pipermail/web-devel/2011/000855.html, I believe it would be better if the second parameter was the method (GET, POST, ..) instead of a boolean indicating if it is POST or DELETE.

Including a static css file

I am experimenting with yesod and am new to it. I changed the default-layout.hamlet file of a project created by yesod init. The modification consists of the following line <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="@{StaticR css/base.css}"> I get an error message " (line 4, column 48): unexpected 'h' expecting end of input, "\n", "\r\n" or ">" The file static/css/base.css does exist.

Hey all, Just wanted to post a quick note here about a package I've started with various little utilities that I find generally useful enough to be used across different yesod sites. The best explanation is probably by way of example, so here's what it provides so far: Y.G.Gravatar : fetch a gravatar image for an email address Y.G.Links : concise internal/external link-widgets Y.G.Markdown : a slightly altered version of yesod-markdown Y.G.Paginate : paginate a large list of items Y.G.Search : a type class engine behind search pages Y.G.Shorten : a type class to shorten a variety of... Y.G.Time : prints UTCTime as "one hour ago", etc That last one was taken from haskellers.com (hope you don't mind Michael). The package has been on hackage[1] for a bit and the source is on github[2]. Feel free to contribute if you've got your own goodies. Payment Processing

Hi, I am in the middle of writing a small website in haskell, and am at the point of investigating a payment processing solution. Does anyone have any experience? As far as I can see, there aren't any libraries on hackage. I am strongly considering Google Checkout, since then I don't have to deal with credit cards directly and can just let google do it. So I am considering starting a hackage library for google checkout, anybody interested in helping out? I think xml-enumerator with http-enumerator should work well. I have been thinking about the API such a package should have, and I am currently leaning towards a combinator approach like blaze. The google xml schema for items [1] has so many optional parts that if we try and define a record, it will have a ton of Maybe's in it. Generating the xml using a combinator approach seems better. [Newbie] Basic concepts around passing a JSON value to a JQuery function for processing.

Not only am I new to Haskell and Yesod, but now I find I need JQuery and have some conceptual questions. The stiuation I have is I am trying to build a status page that will either give information about a live server, or an alert saying that it's down. I want to have a BOOL to pass. How do I go about passing values from my Yesod program to an JQuery function?
