Patch: RotSlaves.hs: Add rotAll functions
by Eric Mertens 18 Oct '07

18 Oct '07

This patch adds a rotation function for all the windows on the screen. This might not be the right file to add it to but I couldn't justify creating a new module. -- Eric Mertens Phone: 503.626.6616, x155 Galois Fax: 503.214.8120 12725 SW Millikan Way Ste 290 http://www.galois.com Beaverton, OR 97005-1691 emertens(a)galois.com

by Klaus Weidner 18 Oct '07

18 Oct '07

Apply screen mapping to displayed workspace order (REQUIRES screen_map Config patch) This patch REQUIRES that the Config patch implementing the screen_map is applied also. Shuffle the order of displayed workspaces based on screen_map, so that the order matches the mod-w/e/r hotkey order.

darcs patch: ManageHook list interface (and 1 more)
by mail＠joachim-breitner.de 17 Oct '07

17 Oct '07

Sat Oct 6 18:03:24 CEST 2007 mail(a)joachim-breitner.de * ManageHook list interface This patch implements the proposed manageLog interface outlined in http://code.google.com/p/xmonad/issues/detail?id=54 Note that all the Data.Monoid stuff is just to avoid writing foldl (.) id as mconcat. Maybe foldl (.) id is nicer in this case. I’m not sure if I put the ManageHook type declaration in the right spot. I did not adjust any plugins to the new interface, although the recently commited ManageDocks.hs by chance already had this interface :-) The Config.hs could probably need some example, as soon as some plugins use this interface > -- Add hooks from imported extensions, e.g. > manageHooks = [ floatGimp, manageDocksHook ] Greetings, Joachim Fri Oct 12 00:53:26 CEST 2007 mail(a)joachim-breitner.de * Hook for broadcastMessage messages Hi, this patch adds a new hook, messageHook. This patch should probably not go into the darcs repository (because this is a very specific hook), at least not before 0.4 and not before a proper hook interface is in place. Nevertheless it is needed by people who want to try the interactive EwhmDesktops, see the patch against contrib coming in next. Greetins, Joachims

darcs patch: add XWMHints bindings
by Devin Mullins 17 Oct '07

17 Oct '07

Below is a patch to X11-extras to allow reading/writing of the XWMHints struct. I would like to see this used to add UrgencyHint support to xmonad (I have a patch pending for that). I went with a fairly simple serialization (rather than fancy Maybe or Bool records) because xmonad won't care about most of these values, and hence I felt it wasn't worth the effort to provide much more than bare metal. Thoughts? (If you have any experience writing Haskell/C bindings, I'd apreciate your input. I'm new.) Wed Oct 10 00:45:01 EDT 2007 Devin Mullins <me(a)twifkak.com> * add XWMHints bindings also added withdrawnState, normalState, and iconicState, which are somewhat related
