On mac os the window boundaries are sometimes drawn, sometimes not, and sometimes partially.

I haven't figured out exactly when each situation occurs... but one thing is for certain, if I'm doing full screen X11.app and switch to a different app then come back, the borders don't get redrawn. I can press mod+space to get them to refresh manually, but they're not always drawn correctly even then. Sometimes there will be partial-borders drawn around part of a window. Any hints on where to start looking to figure out this problem? -Ryan

The X server reuses window IDs. As a result, I was able to reproduce the following behaviour (e.g., by opening and closing xpdf windows): Create a window, maximize it, close it without restoring it to its normal state. Open a new window with the same window ID (e.g., an xpdf window after just closing an xpdf window). The new window will open maximized, which is not what one would expect. This patch addresses this problem, removing the ID of the maximized window from the layout when the maximized window is closed.

Announcement: xmonad-extras 0.9.1 released

This is mainly a compatability release, because I forgot to add upper version bounds on the dependencies in the previous release, which caused a build failure due to a new version of the libmpd-bindings. This version also adds XMonad.Config.Alt by Adam Vogt, a new, experimental approach to configuring xmonad that is intended to make the configuration simpler, more modular and to address difficulties that arise when enabling multiple extensions. Moving xmonad.org to a new server

I am the owner of the xmonad.org domain and I host the xmonad website. The time has come to move xmonad.org to a new server. I am assuming the website is exactly the darcs repository located here: http://code.haskell.org/~sjanssen/xmonad-web/. Please let me know if this is not the case. This move will also let us do more with the website besides serving static pages. Cheers, David
