This is an exploratory change to remove possibleLayouts. I'd like to get some opinions on this patch before I push it. After pulling and rewriting... I must confess I don't like windowMapWith too much... I find it a bit misleading, but probably it's just me. Run Amarok with the OSD enabled. 2. Create a new window (e.g. run xterm) on the screen on which the OSD appears. 3. Press Win+O or wait for a song change to display the OSD. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The OSD should appear in front of all windows. Instead, the OSD is hidden behind all windows on the screen. If you move the window that is obscuring the OSD (with mod+mouse button 1), you can see the OSD behind it. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Xmonad from darcs, Amarok 1.4.7, Ubuntu Feisty. Please provide any additional information below. The OSD displays properly when Amarok is (re)started, until a new window is created on the screen that displays the OSD. Creating new windows on the non-OSD screen does not affect the OSD. About binary package and configuration file.

Hi, all. I think we should distribute a binary package (x86 at least) to make it easy to install xmonad (it's too difficult to install for an user who has no experience about Haskell). If we should do it, we also have to support an user configuration file like ~/.xmonadrc. So, I want to realize this propsal, but even I (I am a begginer) find it will be hard job (especially about Config.hs). Please tell me how to do it smartly or things you think about it. Thanks. Suggestion: „Applied“ in subject

Hi, just a small observation, it’s of course up to the applier what’s more convenient: I noticed that when you apply a patch, you reply to the mail with “Applied.” in it, which is useful. But I tend to look into these mails, as they might be comments on the patch instead of just application notification. So my suggestion: Could you write the “Applied” in the subject, for example replaceing the Re:? Then I know that a mail with subject Applied: [Xmonad] darcs patch: add bringMenu, and extract duplication (and 1 more) has not to be read (as the subject says it all). (If it’s too much hassle, that’s ok. Hi all, Here's a very minor cleanup. It doesn't really help much just yet, but will allow considerable simplification of DragPane. But maybe the complexity was added because someone wanted drag handles that aren't a solid color? This means we don't need to draw colors that are this color. Also speeds up redrawing, since the X server can do all the drawing on its own, without talking with xmonad.
