I understand, sjanssen, that you don't want this patch, but I thought I might as well send it in in case anyone else would like somewhat more selective placement of transient windows. Hi all, the new change here (which I could amend to not depend on the other patch if desired) makes it so that Config.hs defines a "defaultLayout" that is the initial layout. This makes it a little easier to introduce global layout modifiers (e.g. WorkspaceDir). I don't think it overcomplicates Config.hs, either, although it'd be nice to not have to define possibleLayouts. Hi, As you see there is some code duplication here. I would like to use Decoration as a library for X functions, to be used for creating decoration indeed. I don't know if we can abstract the Hide/Resource part (of Tabbed and DragPane), as Decoration was doing before, but I would like to think about that. Maybe I can come up with something. Is that ok? Hi, the first fixes a bug in NewTabbed (visible if you hide/unhide the gaps) and removes the orphan instance warning. The second makes MagicFocus work with the new class.
