This doesn't really work nicely, but at least it compiles, and gives a hint of how I think this might work. Note the Stupid data type that is currently needed (but not yet exported) to avoid undecideable instances. Sun Sep 23 15:13:40 CEST 2007 l.mai(a)web.de * make spawn redirect std* to /dev/null spawn'd programs inherit their std{in,out,err} from xmonad. This can interfere with logHook logging because some programs dump debugging output to stdout or stderr. This patch therefore redirects all standard streams to /dev/null when a new program is started.

Hi all, This is (I think) a working version of the new LayoutHelpers, along with a NoBorders that makes use of it. The new change here is a default modifyLayout. This implements the old idModify from LayoutHelpers, so that it's easy to create layouts that don't need to read messages. Warning: I haven't actually used this helper class yet, so it may actually be useless, or just not work... but since folks seem actively interested in this project, I figure it'll be good to keep you up-to-date.
