XMonad.Prompt.Ssh

Hi, I really like the idea of being able to open ssh sessions straight from xmonad. Somehow, it doesn't work and I don't understand. Here's relevant part of the configuration: import XMonad.Prompt import XMonad.Prompt.Ssh .... myXPConfig = defaultXPConfig .... , ((mod4Mask .|. shiftMask, xK_s), sshPrompt myXPConfig) So when I hit mod4Mask, shift and s it starts correctly the "Ssh to:" prompt. At this point I enter the host name, and hit enter, and nothing happens... I guess it should open a terminal with a session to the host I just entered, but it doesn't (there are no other windows with shells into that machine). Advice? Ideas? What am I doing wrong? X.L.MouseResizableTile DraggerType=BordersDragger doesn't have any effect

Here is my xmonad.hs file: http://hpaste.org/54715 >From my understanding tiled = mouseResizableTile { draggerType = BordersDragger } Should disable the borders. It doesn't have any effect, otherwise, xmonad and X.L.MouseResizableTile perform as they should. Is it my fault or is it a bug? Thanks, -- Aram Hăvărneanu

Start XMonad 2. Start cairo-compmgr or xcompmgr What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Instead of their normal positioning, windows are shifted to the top left a bit so that the borders on the top and left aren’t visible anymore. As soon as I kill the compositing manager, the windows are repositioned correctly. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? XMonad 0.9.1; Arch Linux x86_64. Tried with cairo-compmgr-git and xcompmgr. Are you using an xmonad.hs? Please attach it and the output of "xmonad --recompile". The only relevant part might be borderWidth = 2. I don’t use FadeInactive or things like that. No messages on xmonad --recompile. Please provide any additional information below.

Spawn a few windows and have the cursor on the resizable part of the window (the cursor icon changes) 3. When you switch focus of windows, the cursor wont move What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The expected output is the cursor moves to the focused window What version of the product are you using? Using gkrellm as a dock/bar?

I'm trying to use gkrellm (because I've already got the configured the way I want them) as a status bar with XMonad. I read the faq, tweaked my xmonad.hs (a modified copy of the original, attached) and set the dock_type to 1 (which can be done with a config option in recent versions of gkrellm). Doesn't work. gkrellm stays in floating space, and the windows don't shrink to allow it any space. I did try xmobar, and that worked as expected. Searching for gkrellm and doc or bar turns up the xmonad FAQ as the #1 hit, and a few things that point to it, and nothing else relevant. Anyone got any hints as to what my be going on? Anyone using gkrellm as a status bar with xmonad? I've attached the xmonad.hs I'm using on the off chance it'll help. Thanks, <mike
