Trying to install on windows

Hi, I am trying to install on windows (under cygwin) and I get $ ./Setup.hs install Installing: C:\Software\Haskell\c2hs-0.14.5\ghc-6.4.2 & C:\Software\c2hs-0.14.5 c2hs-0.14.5... '.' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. What is it trying to do? Mark

In fact it doesn't even always work on unix. For the Gentoo ebuild we changed it because it doesn't work in the context of installing into a temp dir. A temporary hack is to change the Setup.hs to be just: import Distribution.Simple main = defaultMain it means that c2hs's --copy-library feature will not work but everything else should. We'll have to look into doing that in a more portable way. Duncan

I need a Haskell2C interface tool

Hi all, I am eagerly seeking a suitable tool used to invoke my C functions in Haskell. As the data type in C code will include some complex struct type, and array. I hope some tool will generate the glue code of the interface for me, then I could focuse on other things. C2hs seems to be very useful, but I could hardly find enough examples in its doc. Could anyone give me some hints? BTW, I do not care about the platform of c2hs. HSFFIG or Green Card are also possible? I appreciate any hope! Can't Install on Windows

I have not been able to get C2hs to install on windows. After decompressing the archive I run cygwin and cd to the directory and then run $ runhaskell Setup.hs configure Setup.hs:11:57: Couldn't match expected type `Distribution.PackageDescription.PackageDescription' against inferred type `LocalBuildInfo' Probable cause: `addWrapperAndLib' is applied to too many arguments In the `postInst' field of a record In the first argument of `defaultMainWithHooks', namely `defaultUserHooks {postInst = addWrapperAndLib}' This is c2hs-0.1.4.5. The same thing happens under Msys (mingw) and under a Dos shell. Also the error occurs using both GHC-6.4.2 and GHC-6.5.
