Textures from SDL upside down

Hi, I am using HOpenGL in combination with hsSDL (http://darcs.haskell.org/~lemmih/hsSDL) This works great except for texture loading. All my textures are mirrored over the v-axis. So the top of a texture becomes the bottom. I first thought that I got the texture coordinates wrong. But the textures are also flipped on the GLU quadrics. Is there some way to tell (H)OpenGL that a texture is mirrored? I tried glPixelStore parameters but I don't think it is possible that way. Perhaps it is possible to change a hsSDL surface before loading the pixel data. Any advice is welcome. regards, Bas van Dijk

Hello all, I tried to build OpenGL and GLUT packages on Windows by myself. CALLCONV is defined stdcall on Windows, but hs_**_getProcAddress (and other cbits's c functions) are build with ccall convention. Attached are darcs patch to fix these problem. But ... I don't know this patch doesn't cause any ptoblem Sigbjorn's next binary release. Because I don't know why OpenGL and GLUT can build correctly under his environment. OpenGL with wxWidgets

Ok, Brand new problem, I have OpenGL working in Haskell and compiling, and I have been working with wxWidgets to make the GUI process easier. Now I am trying to work out a way to combine the two. I haven't been able to do it successfully because they seem to create different kinds of windows, but I would like it if it would be possible to Open a frame with wxWidgets then inside the frame as one of the panels Have some OpenGL running , on which I could apply buttons from the parent frame to. I can't seem to find any easy way to do this and have been reading through the documentation for both. Any suggestions? -- Without Wax, Chris

Hello, The program: import Graphics.Rendering.OpenGL import Graphics.UI.GLUT main = do _ <- getArgsAndInitialize createWindow "Hello World" displayCallback $= clear [ ColorBuffer ] mainLoop and the problem: The ColorBuffer is not cleared, the window shows what was there before it was created. Creating windows, drawing points,... works all well, but "clear [ ColorBuffer ]" seems not to work. (I'm using the ghc 6.6 on Windows) Thanks in advance for your help.

HOpenGL install help

Hello, I am writing a graphical program in Haskell as a final project for university to show that it is not a "toy language". Unfortunatly when trying to install HOpenGL I get past the ./configure part but then fail with errors on the make depend and make all or even make install. I can't seem to locate the problem or where the errors are coming from. I get the following error report: module 'Main' is defined in multiple files: Info.hs QBSP.hs QuakeMovement.hs TestGLUT.hs make[2]: *** [depend] Error 1 make[1]: *** [depend] Error 1 make: *** [depend] Error 1 I would really like to use HOpenGL for this project, so If anyone knows how I can solve this I would love to know. -- Without Wax, Chris

Hello, I was wondering if anyone made any additional utilities to complement HOpenGL. For example, I was wondering why there weren't any math operations such as "negate" defined on Vector3, or why it wasn't made an instance of Num in HOpenGL. In C OpenGL, you can do something like this to use matrices for computation without affecting context: glMatrixMode (GL_MODELVIEW) ; glPushMatrix () ; glLoadMatrix (your_matrix) ; // do whatever you want with your your matrix // for exampl glMultMatrix (your_matrix2) ; ... // at the end of your calculations use glGetFloatv (GL_MODELVIEW_MATRIX, your_matrix_result) ; glPopMatrix () ; // nothing has changed !!! I'm not exactly sure how this is done with HOpenGL. i.e., how can I get the result of a matrix transformation not effecting the MODELVIEW, etc. matrices? Could someone give an example?
