Hi, I suspect you're using Netscape, which doesn't correctly handle .msi file downloads - at least not until we've tweaked the setup of the web server we're using. Try using IE instead. hth --sigbjorn ----- Original Message ----- From: "Daniel Herring" <herring@eecs.ku.edu> To: <hugs-bugs@haskell.org> Sent: Monday, December 31, 2001 17:40 Subject: Installation problem
I downloaded the files http://cvs.haskell.org/Hugs/downloads/hugs98-Dec2001.msi and http://cvs.haskell.org/Hugs/downloads/GraphicsLib.msi from the page http://cvs.haskell.org/Hugs/pages/downloading.htm
I also installed the latest Windows Installer from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=32831
Unfortunately, the Windows Installer says the *.msi files could not be opened and asked whether they were valid Windows Installer packages. I am running Windows 95.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Daniel Herring nuntius@ku.edu
