Hi there, not sure what might be the cause, but if Prelude.hs is somehow missing from your installation, something's badly amiss. Perhaps you could try downloading the current release (Nov2002) from http://haskell.org/hugs/ and give it a go instead? --sigbjorn ----- Original Message ----- From: steve newberry To: hugs-bugs@haskell.org Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2003 18:29 Subject: How do I get "Prelude"? I downloaded hugs98-2001 but can't get it to run. It comes up with a "hugs" screen, but tells me that it can't find a file called "Prelude" and then quits. I searched the whole disk, but there is no "Prelude" anywhere to be found. Here is the hugs screen that came up: _________________________________________ || || || || || || ||__ Hugs 98: Based on the Haskell 98 standard ||___|| ||__|| ||__|| __|| Copyright (c) 1994-2001 ||---|| ___|| World Wide Web: http://haskell.org/hugs || || Report bugs to: hugs-bugs@haskell.org || || Version: Jan 2001 beta _________________________________________ Please advise.
