The simple workaround currently is to arrange the windows horizontally. FreeBSD ports for xmonad-darcs and dzen2-svn - News

Hi guys, I now have working ports for darcs versions of both xmonad and xmonad-contrib. They're available at http://code.google.com/p/xmonad-dzen2-freebsd/. There's also a port for a svn version of dzen2 and an updated hs-x11-ghc (which is required for xmonad-contrib). If anyone can help me test these I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Dustin Mays

HintedGrid + gimp

Hi, I read about the hintedGrid Layout and tried it. If I start gimp in float layout, it puts its windows very nicely. When I start in in HintedGrid layout, it is tiled like any other application ... Is this due gimp not setting hints? Or is HintedGrid not able to accomendate gimps hints and therefor does nothing? Regards, Nathan

With ooimpress-3.1.1 and darcs xmonad/contrib using default xmonad.hs: F5 and other methods of starting slide-show worked intermittently on xinerama two screen config. While sometimes it worked normally, mostly it went into presentation mode, but only a black screen was shown. The first slide was shown after moving forward one slide then back. This was with ppt or odp format presentations. What Works: With ooimpress-3.1.1 Activating "Presentation always on top" in Slide Show > Slide Show Settings made the presentations work correctly always, however, regardless of what screen was set for display in Slide Show Settings they are shown on the currently active monitor. Use a default grid select config with current darcs xmonad/contrib 2. Turn on NumLock 3. Activate a grid select menu 4. Note that only mouse navigation is possible, keys do not work. 5. Turn off NumLock and get key nav back. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Regardless of numlockMask myXConfig, lockMask, or xkb language layout mask state, expect grid select key bindings to work. (Only confirmed with num lock mask.) These masks should probably be stripped automatically.
