switching windows' Z-order?

Hi, I have problem when using gimp. all Gimp's windows are set to be float. But when I open two pictures, the 1st one's window is covered by the 2nd one. And there is no way to switch their Z-order so that the 1st one can be brought to front. Is there any way to always bring the focused window front? thanks lars

Virtual Box won't release keyboard or mouse when used in xmonad

Greetings, When I try to use VirtualBox in xmonad, it fails to give up control of the mouse or keyboard when I use the release key (right ctrl). I was hoping this was just a bug from a while ago in virtual box or xmonad, but I just tried it again this morning and still have the same problem? Anyone know a good work around? Thanks! Xmonad system-wide keyboard hook

Hi, Is there a way to make XMonad grab keyboard input globally, so that other applications that also hook the keyboard globally (like VirtualBox) can't steal Xmonad's hot keys? Regards, Rickard Nilsson

tabbed, floating & focus

Hello, I need a hint on how to fix a weird behavior of the Tabbed layout: imagine you have 2 windows in tabbed: A and B. A has focus. Now you call up a floating window C, like Scratchpad, and it takes focus. Then you move your mouse and, without hiding C, click on B tab, B gets focus. Now, if only you somehow give focus back to C (like drag the mouse over it) - tabbed will switch back to A. In the other words you can't switch tabs after you've added a floating window: as soon as floating gets focus again, tabbed restores it's state as it was before the floating window was added. It's quite annoying and I'd like to fix it, but X.L.Decoration logic is too complicated to me. Or maybe I should look at some other place?

How's current support for Adobe Air apps?

Hi All, Is there anything I need to know about Adobe Air apps support in xmonad? I am trying to use http://desktop.seesmic.com/ and after the configuration screen shows up I only see a black window. Previously I used twhirl with some success in xmonad as well (err... maybe I should go back to use that one?). Any hint appreciated! ciao, Nick

My xmonad keeps hunging.

Hi, Recently, I do not know why, my xmonad keeps hunging. When I browse internet or something, suddenly, any hot keys do not work. All I can do is login from console and kill xmonad. Any ideas? Thanks. -- 竹密岂妨流水过山高哪阻野云飞
