Tue Oct 23 00:01:32 CEST 2007 mail(a)joachim-breitner.de * STRUT aware gap toggling (clean patch) Without this patch, ManageDocks would only set the gap according to a window’s STRUT when the window is first mapped. This information would then get lost when the user toggle the gap. Now, when the user toggles the Gap, all present windows are scanned for STRUT settings, and the gap is set accordingly. No need to manually configure the gap anymore. This is the same patch as before, but independant of the Hooks patches, and with more documentation.

xmonad.org migrating to new datacenter

The server hosting xmonad.org is migrating to a new datacenter in Dallas, Texas. The migration window is as follows: Window start: October 22, 2007 Window end: October 24, 2007 After the migration xmonad.org will have a new IP address. Downtime, if any, will be minimal. It needs to be improved but then the keybindings can be seen with `man xmonad' command. Thinking about it, if I understand correctly the documentation, you could perhaps insert all the normal bindings *within* a submap and as long as you deleted the original things might work... I think I've noticed that even when the prefix is hit, as long as the Mod-whatever is bound to a command, it just gets passed on. For example, Urxvt lets you specify either via the commandline or through .Xresources something like this: URxvt.fading: 10 URxvt.fadeColor: purple which iirc fades unfocused terminals by 10% (or maybe it was *to* 10%) brightness and darkens it purplish.
