cvs commit: hugs98/src connect.h input.c machdep.c parser.y prelude.h storage.h hugs98/src/machugs options.h
by nordland＠glass.cse.ogi.edu 14 Jun '01

14 Jun '01

nordland 2001/06/14 14:28:52 PDT Modified files: src connect.h input.c machdep.c parser.y prelude.h storage.h src/machugs options.h Log: Added support for hierarchical module names. A module name A.B.C is mapped onto the file path A/B/C{,.hs,.lhs}, which is appended to each of the path prefixes in HUGSPATH during module import, until the name of a readable file is found. For backwards compatibility, string constants can still be used instead of modulenames if the location of a module doesn't conform to this pattern. Recursive scanning of subdirectories is no longer supported, though, nor automatic scanning of the directory where the previous module loaded was found. Still left to do: Update the library structure *and* the names of modules not located in the top level lib directory. Set up a default HUGSPATH that corresponds to the new structure. by Sigbjorn Finne 09 Jun '01

sof 2001/06/09 08:55:13 PDT Modified files: src printer.c Log: Fall into line with how GHC shows Addrs, i.e., 0x<hex value using lowercase chars, left zero-padded to be WIDTH digits long> where WIDTH = 2 * CPU's word width in bytes i.e., using printf()'s %p format specifier leaves you open to platform-specific behaviour (e.g., nullAddr comes out as "(nil)" with glibc; the MSVC CRT uses upper-case hex digits). New IO impl and modules
by Sigbjorn Finne 09 Jun '01

09 Jun '01

Hi, I'd encourage people to compile and test the IO, Directory, and CPUTime support I've just committed. The added primitives call upon misc OS functionality, which might not be present on a particular platform (or live in a different header file etc.) I believe I've augmented the configure script so this won't be an issue, but you never know about these things.... btw, if you don't want Directory and/or CPUTime support, prelude.h contains #defines that control this. The IO impl is mostly Haskell98 compliant; the main bit it doesn't implement is the H98 file locking rules. --sigbjorn

cvs commit: hugs98/src preds.c prelude.h
by Jeff Lewis 18 May '01

18 May '01

lewie 2001/05/17 16:16:14 PDT Modified files: src preds.c prelude.h Log: This is really mostly a test commit. This helps hugs along w/ some of the more `interesting' fundep examples, but a final solution it is not. When checking entailment of a derived instance decl, you check entailment of each predicate in the context. Each of these checks may give rise to more opportunities for `improvement'. This patch adds an improvement step in between entailment checks. Revision Changes Path 1.28 +3 -2 hugs98/src/preds.c 1.17 +4 -4 hugs98/src/prelude.h
